Can I Upload Backgrounds on the Steam Store
I have no idea how to add a background and i been on steam for almost eight years lol. i have badges i think, idk, i just have stuff in my inventory. only wouldn't it brand sense just to add a background by uploading an image?
if they allowed user's to upload their own backgrounds, and so no one would buy the profile backgrounds from the Community Marketplace.

I "think" you get a complimentary ane from a listing of options at level 10. Someone correct me if I am mistaken. OP, your profile is private so it will always show every bit level 0 and nosotros cannot see what level your account is.
I do wish we could upload our ain backgrounds to truly personalize our profiles but like the other person said and then no i would purchase backgrounds from the market or collect cards to craft badges to become backgrounds. Plus a function of me feels if steam had that feature some people would have some "interesting" contour backgrounds.

Oh you just know it'd be wangs. Every young CSGO, COD, TF2 and GMOD player would have a wang as a background. And alas their immaturity and peversion means the balance of u.s. are stuck with buying slow backgrounds.

Another issue would be System Reqs. The background I'd love to apply is a monstrous 16K desktop. Anybody viewing my profile would have to DL that, and I can't imagine that would be fun if you had slow internet.

Agreed... Got a few backgrounds that I would dear to use likewise, probably merely got to edit them to a unique size like the standard 1920x1200 dimensions that average steam contour backgrounds employ. Overall I got to say if used right, people could really make their profile really unique and amazing. Sadly it all comes back to the people who would corruption the characteristic.

*sigh* Yep. Uploaded some shots of forza vii running on ultra/4K and couldn't understand why people were laughing at me. Turned out Steam had dumbed it down to the point it looked like a Source game.
