The toaster that teaches you DIY - Yanko Design
The lack of product styling may be credible, just information technology's really for a reason. This toaster was designed without planned obsolescence in listen. While about products are designed to take a nascency and a decease and then eventually exist discarded for a newer model, the Repairable Flatpack Toaster isn't… and information technology encourages users to build their own toaster and and so maintain/fix information technology, finer extending its lifespan infinitely.
Toasters, like nearly appliances, are designed to brand sure that merely expert technicians can take them apart (smartphones and laptops follow this trend also). All the same, the Repairable Flatpack Toaster is designed in a style that it encourages its user to tinker around and be able to replace components hands. In fact, it comes apartment-packed, and the user has to assemble the product from scratch.
When users build products from scratch, they form a bond with the production, not wanting to discard something they put try into (IKEA relies on this emotional connect to translate into customer satisfaction). The Flatpack Toaster is designed with the aforementioned principle in listen. After all, if you tin put a production together, you can pull it apart and fix it too, right? And you lot'll desire to… considering you're fastened to something you built from scratch.
